Fitzroy Personal Training for Mobility and Strength

We start with a detailed movement assessment during our complimentary session. I will work with you to design a program to fit how your body moves and to help you accomplish your goals. Our sessions are educational, and I will help you understand why and how to train, and help you gain confidence in the required movements.

I bring a strong understanding of biomechanics, and with that, I will help you think about mobility and how your body moves.

My training style and values come from 9 years of experience in developing people the right way. I know how to work with you to improve your strength and your range of motion, to support flexible muscles and joints and general stability. I will never get you doing an exercise I don’t do, and I favour barefoot big lifts, calisthenics, and steady progression.

My focus is on helping you with a progressive overload, increasing resistance each week to help you with your strength and muscle growth.

Why I Built a

As a beauty therapist, I found the work to be very taxing on my body. Massaging clients gave me wrist pain, and for 5 years I felt like I was not confident in my own skin, struggling to do even the basic things in life like carrying shopping.

I always admired the really fit people in the gym. I started training myself and soon felt stronger through my upper body.

I finally took on the personal training course with the goal of helping people to lose weight. 

During the next 5 years, I went through so many injuries and trained hard to recover my strength and mobility. This process taught me the importance of understanding the biomechanics of the body and working to have more mobility and is very much the basis for my current training style.

Training is the foundation for my physical and my mental health. After I decided to focus on getting stronger, training has allowed me to have more independence in life.

I also train for my mental health, and while I’m training myself or others, it’s the only time my brain truly focuses on the task at hand, and I am in full control
